Reverence for the Brand
Breathe Easy

We can go weeks without food and water, but only minutes without air. Creating cleaner air is a cause that's close to our hearts (and lungs).

As a branding and design firm, we are thankful for the opportunity to design and develop websites for organizations whose programs, products and services aim to reduce air pollution and halt global warming.

Carbon Concierge, Puget Sound Green Fleets and Cool School Challenge are a few unique approaches to creating an atmosphere of change. We worked with them to create websites that support their respective missions: to facilitate carbon neutral business, calculate fleet-wide emissions and empower young people to make a big difference by taking small steps. Check them out here:

We're also pleased to be working with the non-profit Northwest Environmental Education Council and King County Metro on spreading the sustainability message. » back to top

Expressions
Welcome Todd and Heather

Since joining us this spring, Todd Giacometti and Heather Kliment, our newest team members, have made sure that 'creative organization' is not an oxymoron. Their positive energy and talents have brought a new level of structure and support that has enabled our client and creative services teams to focus on their primary roles like never before.

Open House Party

We would all like to thank those of you who made last month's Open House Party a huge success. We enjoyed meeting new people and reconnecting with others. We've shared a few snaps of the action below. See you next year (or so)!

What We Say
The Compleat Company

It began in 1989 when two high school friends started a home-based apparel business. Having evolved into a full-service promotional merchandise company with a loyal following of corporate clients, The Compleat Company needed a new website to emphasize the creative partnership approach that sets them apart from the crowd.

Focusing on their new tagline, "Love the Response You Get", we developed a fun, professional Flash-animated website that illustrates their variety of services and full range of capabilities. With the aim of creating a responsive and intelligent site, we produced an animated portfolio that features some of their most successful client projects.

To highlight Compleat's uniqueness and approachability, hues of copper brown and light olive green were used as part of the site's design elements. A secondary palette of blue, yellow and tan was implemented to create a positive, energetic environment that engages the viewer.

Now The Compleat Company's website is much more than an online catalogue with a spiffy layout. It elevates their brand by communicating the experience of working with a solution-oriented relationship-driven company.

Creative Brief
Capitol City Press

Like many growing companies, Capitol City Press found themselves with a brand that resembled a patchwork quilt. With so many branding and marketing components sewn together over the years, the Tumwater, Washington based commercial printer needed to unify their brand elements.

To create a consistent brand, we worked with Capitol City Press to unearth their core values. With a "Print Positive" tagline, we positioned them as a proactive, versatile and eco-friendly employee-owned company.

The new Capitol City Press brand was also designed to reflect their printing history. The logo we developed is based on the printer's mark, which was used as a signature by master craftsmen in the early centuries of printing. This 'neo-traditional' mark brings a modern edge to a classic form. Gold was selected as a fresh, vivid color that is grounded by a warm, sophisticated gray.

In addition to the logo, we created their website, stationery, vehicle graphics, business cards and other collateral, including an environmental brochure that highlights their 30+ years of environmentally forward printing. The end result is an integrated, meaningful foundation that allows Capitol City Press to consistently reinforce their brand values.
